It is crucial that the adults understand that dyslexic students do not beneﬁt much from repeatedly writing their spelling list words. The reason is that they are generally copying letter by letter, and not connecting the string of letters into a word. There are, however, ways that are more effective! The ideas on this list are cumulative, meaning ideally you would use methods 1 and 2 on Monday, method 3 on Tuesday, method 4 on Wednesday, and method 5 on Thursday before a Friday spelling test.
